Monday, January 05, 2004 "Dealing with race is about educating white folks."Howard Dean
It is worth noting Dr. Dean's own state of Vermont is the second-whitest in the union, at 96.7 percent ranking just behind Maine and just ahead of New Hampshire in the percentage of population that is white, according to the 2000 Census. (Asians are Vermont's largest minority.)
If the Green Mountain State isn't lily-white, it is approaching Ivory Soap status.
Which means Dr. Dean, as governor, has had a nearly unparalleled opportunity for edjamacating. Or it might suggest he has precious little ground for pontificating on the subject. Depends on how you look at it.
To Zippy, as it happens, Serious means boarding the Dean bandwagon. Has the Kucinich campaign been informed of this slippage in the Pinhead base?
